1. THE STRING TEST (Circumference) What you need: Pen/pencil, ruler, string or piece of paper. What to do:

Cut a piece of string, dental floss or thin paper at least 10cm long.
Wrap it firmly around you desired finger at the base of the knuckle.
Using a pen or pencil, mark where the ends overlap.
Lay it flat and use a ruler to measure the length in millimetres.
Use the chart below to match the corresponding ring size in the top row.

14 years ago I took a lot of pride in designing my wedding ring, getting married and wearing it as a symbol of my love and commitment.
