The ink 4001 Blue-Black tone can be categorized as relatively light-fast. It is an iron gall ink, which means that it is far more permanent than, for example, the 4001 in Royal blue or Brilliant black. Over the time, the color of the ink changes from blue/black to gray, though the ink will always remain visible. During development, we made sure that the concentration of iron gall is low enough to avoid corrosion. Consequently, the ink does not decompose in the paper used.
The ink is not document proof. We recommend “Fount India” to all customers seeking an ink that is even more permanent than our 4001.
The shape of the 4001 ink bottle makes it easy to refill your fountain pen at any time. Should the ink be nearing its end, you can absorb the last drops left by turning the bottle on its side. The ink 4001 Blue-Black is available in an ink bottle with 30ml and 62,5ml.
The legendary 4001 is a classic among inks. It enjoys renown across the world.
